"What a beautiful soul. I enjoyed meeting and getting to know Maski. We clicked instantly and it felt as if we had know each other for centuries already. Maski is totally easygoing and a pleasure to have around. She is very independent, uncomplicated and full of amazing travel stories. Thank you for sharing so many travel and packing :-) tips with me. I hope our path will cross again sometime in the future. Wherever I am, my doors will always be open for you. Much love." Dagmar

'Maski is a grounded and gracious human being. Meeting her was an absolute highlight of my time in Addis. She's kind, relaxed, interesting to talk to, and she's a terrific resource. She also knows how to party! When she learned that I wanted to try more Ethiopian dishes and hear local music she said -- "Let's go out then! I'll post an invite on CS." She followed through: two nights later I met ten other CSers, ate delicious food, and was entertained by talented musicians and dancers. Thanks, Maski! I hope we meet again.'

"Firstly, I met Maski in Santiago at a volunteering activity for the victims of the earthquake in Santiago, and later on, we found ourselves surfing at Mireya's house in Valparaíso. Very nice and friendly person with a bunch of miles under her feet, and great sympathy to offer to everyone. She made it to Central America recently, and it was very nice to receive her notification and going for iced tea in San José ;)"

Hello, Tenaistelleñ, Bonjour, Hola, Ciao, Olà, Namaste, Salaam, Konnichiwa, Merhaba, Jambo...
Welcome! Thanks for dropping by.
If we have already met, probably you know, I am a passionate and curious soul who thinks of nothing but traveling most of the time.
If we haven’t met yet, I hope I get a chance to meet you in person someday, because traveling for me is about the people I meet, the moments I share with others.
Yes, it is true, I am also obsessed with listening to people’s stories, drinking good coffee and eating desserts.
In the mean time, a little about me. I call myself Abyssinian Nomad. Why Abyssinia? I was born in Ethiopia. (Google can help with the history part - http://www.dictionary.com/browse/abyssinia).
So far I have lived and worked in more than ten countries and spent five years as a nomad living out of my backpack in every continent except Antarctica.
In 2008, one of my biggest dreams came true when I backpacked from Cape Town to Cairo using public transport, hitchhiking, and couch-surfing for nine months.
The Abyssinian Nomad in Africa is about that journey. Please enter your email address in the box, if you would like to be notified when the book is published.
